Mantle of the Earth
Both of these images are from Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland.
The high, yellow tablelands are the upper surface of the earth's mantle.
This is one of a handful of places where the mantle has been bared of the outer crust of the planet,
and why it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Left: The view from the Trout River campground of the mantle louring over Trout River Ponds.

Right: A view from the hiking trail, which is above the regular treeline halfway up to the tablelands.
